Motor vehicle expenses
If you use your car for work, you may be able to use this as a deduction on your tax return too.
While traveling to work and back is not something you can claim, if you drive between two separate places of employment, or if you travel to a customer/supplier, or if you travel to a work course/conference, then you can add this to your tax return.

Thus, the simplest way to calculate your motor vehicle expenses is to claim a deduction for up to 5,000 work-related kilometres for each year.
